“I had been playing drums for a few years before I started taking lessons from Phil. I thought I knew a lot but I had plateaued in my drumming. Then Phil came along and helped me grow incredibly. He made me a more technical drummer and helped me learn how to stay in the pocket of the song. Everything he teaches is for a certain purpose and will ultimately make you a much more mature drummer. He is very encouraging and is willing to help in any way but he also expects you to do work by yourself when he Isn’t there in order to be ready for the next session. I really enjoyed my time growing in my skills from one of the best drummers out there.”
